Flumadine Dosage (Cont.)

General Information on Dosing for Flumadine

Considerations for people taking Flumadine include the following:
 
  • Flumadine comes in tablet and syrup form. It is usually taken by mouth once or twice a day.
     
  • You can take Flumadine with food or on an empty stomach. If the drug seems to bother your stomach, try taking it with food.
     
  • For treating the flu, Flumadine works better the earlier it is started. Ideally, it should be started within 48 hours of the onset of flu symptoms.
     
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.
     
  • If you are unsure about anything related to your Flumadine dosage, please talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
