Relenza (Cont.)

Dosing Information for Relenza

The dose of Relenza that your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on a number of factors, including:

  • Whether you are treating or preventing the flu
  • For flu prevention, whether you are taking Relenza because of a flu case in your household or because of a flu outbreak in your community
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you are taking.

As always, do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

(Click Relenza Dosage for more information.)

Side Effects of Relenza

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Relenza. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.

Common side effects of Relenza include but are not limited to:

  • Sinus infections
  • Dizziness
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Joint pain.
