Relenza Side Effects to Report

Some side effects of Relenza should be reported to your healthcare provider. Some of these occur quite rarely (so rarely, in fact, that it is difficult to tell whether they are actually caused by Relenza or other factors). These serious side effects include but are not limited to:
 
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Wheezing
  • Seizures
  • Abnormal behavior
  • An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
  • Fainting
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as rash, hives, itching, or swelling of the mouth or throat.
     

Final Thoughts on Relenza Side Effects

You may experience some or none of the Relenza side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell whether any particular side effect is actually caused by Relenza or other factors (such as the flu itself). Therefore, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you develop any side effects while taking the drug or if something "just does not seem right." While it may not be a side effect of Relenza, your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat the problem.
