There are no known drug interactions with Zovirax^® ointment (acyclovir ointment). Because only a small amount of the medication is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream, Zovirax ointment is unlikely to interact with medications that are taken by mouth. Studies have also suggested that the medication is not likely to interact with other ointments or creams applied to the skin.
